Japanese paper leaks 3G PSP2 details
According to the reports from Japanese newspaper The Nikkei the PSP Smartphone will feature a 3G compatibility, atleast in Japan,to assist downloads and multiplayer, but not phone calls.
The Japanese service will apparently be carried by NTT Docomo,Japans largest mobile network. Also in the reports are rumours that the PSP will feature a lareg, touch sensitive OLED-screen,and a specifically developed processor to enable higher-end visual fidelity.
A standard wireless connection is expected from the handheld, too. There was no mention whether the 3G services will require contract or data-carrying fees.
Theres still much confusion whether PSP2 and Smartphone will actually be the same device Sony is expected to confirm the existence and announce the details of the PSP2 at an event which it is hosting in Japan on January 27.
