Mozilla has announced to block the official Skype Toolbar add-on to Firefox,which is included with the Skype installer.The Skype toolbar detects phone numbers in web pages,and makes them as a clickable button that can be used to dial the number using Skype application.
According to Mozilla,the current version of Skype toolbar is one of the top crashers of Mozilla 3.6.13.almost involved in 40,000 crashes of Firefox last week.While the application works,it appears that Firefox is slow loading web pages.The blocklist entry will be a “soft block”,the users however will be notified of the block and can re-enable if he choose to.
