I have been using VLC for playing your video and mp3 files and cant imagine of using any other video player.But recently when I play video files I keep on getting this error when I forward and movie "vlc media player has just crashed. Do you want to send a bug report to the developers team".
So how to stop VLC from crashing.Here are a few tricks that worked for me.
1.Go to your vlc folder(Go to App data and then vlc folder) and delete it.If you have problems in finding this folder simly go to the run command and type " %appdata%\vlc "(without the quotes) and delete all components.
2.Uninstall the setup of VLC from your computer.(Completely uninstall so that no files are left).Download a new version from their site and install it.
