How to Remove autorun.inf file from Pen drive/Hard Disk
Autorun.inf file is hidden and you mat not be able to see the file even if you enable to Show hidden files and folders.
1. Go to start -> Click on Run -> Type cmd and hit enter or click ok.
2. If you want to remove the infected file from C drive then type c: in commant prompt window and press enter.
3. Type autorun.inf and press enter.The autorun.inf file is opened.
4. Close the autorun window and type del autorun.inf in command promt and press enter.The file is in the drive but not showing but you can delete it now.
5. Type "attrib autorun.inf -s -h -r" in command promt and press enter.
6. Now delete the file bu typing "del autorun.inf" and press enter.
Now to check if the autorun.inf file has been deleted,type autorun.inf.Restart your computer.
Manually remove autorun.inf virus from pen drive
Open Note pad/MS Word.
Save it as “Autorun.inf” file name(no need to write anything)
Save the notepad/MS Word in your Pen Drive.
Read this if your task manager is disabled.
