Wanted to put some news songs in my iPod and found that the iPod was not recognised."This Ipod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started" was the error seen on the screen.So heres a way to use iPod or your iPhone again after this error.
You need to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service.To restart your Apple Mobile Device Service,follow the below instructions :
1. Quit iTunes and disconnect your Apple device(iPod or Iphone)
2. Click on Windows Start button.
3. In the Search field write "Services".
4. Click on Services.
5. Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service.
6. When the service is stopped, click Start the service.
Once you have restarted your Apple Mobile Device Service,you can connect your iPod/iPhone and open iTunes.
Incase the above steps does not work,uninstall iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Service and then install the latest version of iTunes.Start iTunes and connect your iPhone/iPod. Windows should recognize the device correctly.
