China Blocks Google, Twitter, Facebook following Egypt crisis


Following the ongoing crisis in Egypt,China has blocked search engine Google,Socail Networking site Facebook and microblogging website Twitter.For other search engines,it is blocking access to searches for the word "Egypt".

Chinese Web Portal Sina.com stated it was only following "relevant Chinese rules and regulations".University International relations professor Zhu Feng says he is afraid that cutting off the Internet will become government's universal method to deal with a popular uprising.

Egyptian government had cut off the internet access in the country due to concerns that propestors were usind network media to organize their activities.In recent years,China and Iran made similar moves following mass protests.

Meanwhile,the conditions have worsened in Egypt.expected to hit the key share markets in the world.
