Google stands against Piracy, starts Censoring BitTorrent, RapidShare and More

So if you are a download junkie, your days to find premium torrents and rapidshare links will slowly come to an end.Google this has been somewhat bitter and have begun filtering terms related to filesharing from its Autocomplete and Instant search.

Among the many forbidden queries are "uTorrent", "BitTorrent", "Rapidshare", "Megaupload", and seemingly any word combined with "torrent".Its definitely the entertainment industry to be blamed for this.Associations such as the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of India) have been pressuring Google for a while now,and its no surprise that this decision has finally come.

By doing this,Google has removed a list of piracy-related keywords from its Autocomplete list. For instance, and keyword used with torrent added to it will not be suggested by the search engine.Although uTorrent and Xunlei are excluded from results, BitComet and Vuze aren't. Likewise, other filesharing sites such as The Pirate Bay, 4shared, HotFile and MediaFire are still visible. So,is the just the beginning of a long list of prohibitions and bans that will finally lead to the death of piracy?
