Orkut Phishing Page : Beware

Now I have been fed-up of people spamming Facebook and recently saw a scrap on a friends scrapbook.He asked me what that could have meant and the first thing that came to my mind after seeing the scrap was definately is this an Orkut Phishing page.Thanks to the new Orkut the guy who sent this was able to send this scrap to everyone on his friendlist.

As you visit the link,you are taken to the Orkut login page.Now the catch is why would I be asked to login to Orkut if I am already logged in.Definately a newbie mistake that the hacker did not notice.

Now Once you fill the login form,the hacker will get your login information.Now many people do not use Orkut,however if your Orkut account is linked to Gmail,the hacker will have a access to your Gmail account.


The Other way where hackers use an Orkut Phishing page is by sending a mail.Clicking  on the link,you are asked to login to your Orkut Account.

If you find an Orkut Phishing Page,Report Phishing Page to Google.You just need to enter website URL and the Captcha and you are done.Also read this tips to protect yourself from Phishing.
