Facebook: Now sharing your home address and numbers with Facebook app. developers

The next time a Facebook app asks you to whether to provide your information to third party, your address and phone numbers wll also be shared with the developers.

While completing your facebook profile and compulsively filling every box - you might remember putting your home addrees and phone numbers, thinking the phone numbers will be helping to contact friends who were not in touch.
A post on Facebook's developer blog said user's address and mobile phone numbers will be accessible as part of the User Graph object.Maybe good news for the developer community for facebook apps as no ones takes the pain to read the rules in permissions and will click allow when they download the application.Users would have to accept a new app and allow it access to personal information.Contact details of friends would not be accessible unless they too accepted the application. Also that would definitely increase the spam after these developers would use your details.
Analysts are still questioning why Facebook has made this change now but are concerned about what unvetted third party developers will do with the additional information.

IT security firm Sophos is advising Facebook users to remove their addresses and phone numbers from Facebook immediately and to review their Facebook privacy settings.

Edit :Following Complaints, Facebook Puts Address And Number Sharing On Hold.
